I finished my daughters cavalier cape and show it here with the bonnet made to go with her red and white court gown.  She is really pleased with the results.   One more thing crossed off my 2010 to do list!

LadyeA

beautiful!  where did you get that lace?

I am dearly hoping for some opinions on this gown, because not too many people have seen it yet (I'm planning to sell it, not wear it myself, so it hasn't been to a faire).  It is silk with a cartridge pleated underskirt with silk brocade forepart.  The brocade is very detailed and highly metallic gold with some copper color, with leaves on the border and open roses on the forepart.  I came across the portrait after making the dress but was struck with the resemblance.  Please forgive that it needs some ironing in this pic.
Feel free to PM me if you have any tips for selling online!

Wow Amy! :o
That is very beautiful!
She better be getting Mama some chocolates for that.

I love that color, its very unique and looks beautiful in silk, and that forepart is gorgeous!

Well, mine own accomplishments feel plain now... nice work on the cape and gown.
Here are my newest additions to the kids garb collections:
Out little highlander in training. Figured a kilt would be simple, and size adjustable for Tristan. I did pre-pleat and stitch it, because who really wants that fight with a baby.
With the cool, wet early spring/late winter we've had here, I though Amara would appriciate a cloak. She picked out the material, trim, and clasp. Please excuse the burrito mess on her face....

Thank you!  Ladye A the gold venise lace is from cheeptrims.  They had several to choose from and there is enough left from the bolt to go back and add to her dress as well.

Your silk gown is beautiful!  I love the way you have used the metalic as all the trim too! That makes a beautiful accent.  Is that sari fabric from which you have cut the borders?  And do I see a scatter of decorations on the skirt??  Can't quite tell, but the whole affect is lovely.

Hoowil your babes are adorable in their garb!  Great work!  You'll be making the fancy stuff in a few years for yours too!

Lots of win here!  I love the gold lace, and the teal silk, and the kids are scrumptious!

I'm still working on the other hat...

I'm pretty much counting on using their garb as practice before I get into making fancier stuff for the wife and myself. I just can't wait for them to stop growing quite so fast. A new set of garb each year would be nice, but what I've been doing so far is almost one each faire for the kids... As they get older, I'll get more complex, according to thier tastes. As it is with my daughter, we look like we stole some little princesss
