So, last summer I started working on a pink and cream nobles gown, the bodice was about 70% done, I needed to make the eyelets and place the boning.

The skirt was pleated and pinned and needed to be sewed

I CANNOT FIND EITHER PIECE!!!!

Progress on Lady DeLaney's Funky Pirate coat...

The shawl collar has a delicate trim on the Black Damask fabric.
The coat itself is a dark wine velveteen, fully lined.

The paned sleeve has Silk Taffeta I found at SR Harris last year. To fit the armsythe, I had to teak the sleeve pattern a bit to look like the underling of slops so it will poof a bit, then made panes from the velveteen.

Closeup of the stitching and lace trim on the chemise.

The bottom part of the sleeves have more bias binding to go where I slashed the sleeve pattern. There will be Gold and Pearl buttons to close parts of the sleeve. The cussf have the same trim as on the collar and larger gold buttons.

I will post completed pictures soon.

here's the progress on my little mans pirate coat.. I still need to sew on buttons and do cuffs for sleeves... I may wait till a little closer to an event for him to wear it since  do not want to make cuffs to short! Those Darn Kids  ;)

Contrasting fabric for cuff
He wore it a little how it is now, I just rolled up the sleeves, for his birthday pirate party. It was a little to hot being May in Florida, luckily its cooler for festival time!

Very nice and Piratey, Lady Raven!

For the buttons, I have many of those with the skull and crossbones. I order them by the Dozens from Pillaged Village in the larger size. www.pillagedvillage.com They look great on the Adult Pirate voats I do.

Let me know if you need more. I can check my stash to see how many I have.

My blackwork linen fabric find has decided what it wants to be!!

Here's the fabric again:

And here's a sneak peek:

Yep, I'm filling in all those flowers and leaves by hand! Right now it takes about 10-15 minutes per, but that should speed up as I go along. But I pretty much hope to have this done, oh, 2015  or so! LOL

I have been working on Lady De Laney's new Tudor ensemble. I have the Under Kirtle almost finished. The order for Pearls from www.firemountaingems.com came into today, but they messed up the order for 8mm rounds. They sent me Ivory instead of White!!  UGH!!!  So I had to get on the phone and let them know that my order was messed up. Sent back the wrong pearls, reordered trhe correct ones, then they will credit my account for the wrong ones.

I am working on the bottom false undersleeves. Then I will gvet the gown and Gabled Hood cut out this week. No rest for the wicked this week.

Nice fill in embroidery gem!!! That chemise is going to look nice! My JoAnn's was sold out of that particular fabric. Oh well! I was not meant to have it I reckon! :(

Thanks, Lady K! I'm so excited about this project, it has absorbed absolutely all of my attention right now!

Are you using the new Margo Anderson Tudor pattern? I don't think I've seen anything made from that yet--make sure you post progress photos!

Lady Kathleen of Olmsted

I sure will gem! The new Margo Anderson Tudor pattern is wonderful!

I sent back the Glass pearls I received today due to they were Ivory, not White. I am embellishing the neck of the Kirtle with Shanked Gold and Black buttons with two wire strings of 8mm pearls. I am doing that for the False undersleeves as well that are paned with a center band made from Bias tape.

I will be posting photos of the Green Jacquard gown as I progress as well.

Genievea Brookstone

Ooo Gem that is going to look lovely! I keep telling myself that I am going to learn hand embrodery and stick with it. I tried a few times long ago but lost interest. Now that I seem to enjoy hand sewing what I can on garb maybe I should try it again.
