okay so i finally have a pic of the hat on my head lol.  now this will hopefully give y'all a better idea of the actual size.

ignore the ostrich feathers, i just haphazardly stuck those in to get a general idea if i want them on the hat.

Thanks to Tammy I now have a interest in Steampunk and during one of our late nights at Waffle House I conjured up this doodle and hopefully with A LOT of help from Tammy it will become a reality.

I love it!  ;D

Oh, my!!!  What a gorgeous hat, Bonny!!!  I think the plumes that would go with that are the ones that curl around in an arc, so they would wrap around the crown of the hat, but that's just my opinion.  Black plumes, with one or two white in the mix, unless you want to wear it wil something colorful, and then you could match the plumes to your outfit!

Windland, awesome sketch!  Can't wait to see it start to take shape!!!

Awesome, RFP!!!  Were the b&g in SP, as well, or did they just incorporate this element?

Ok lets see what have I missed If I miss someone my apologies.

For those of you who liked my gear and ray-gun in progress picture I thank you.

Windland - Neat design should be fun to see it completed.

Serena -  Delicate looking but fitting the part as well, I love what you did with those goggles.

Bonny Pearl - That my dear is a ginormus hat..I love it!

Keep up the great work on finding links and cool pictures everyone.

And now without further ado a little ray-gun update.

The barrel is on but can be removed if needed, the trigger is on, but is too big for the guard so I need to trim that down. Lets see I have a piece of copper pipe slid into the ram-rod slot which will in theory light up. And other assorted goodies have been bought and have places marked for them I just need to put them into place. I'm actually pretty proud of the two matching parts on the main body of the gun I eye-balled them and they are darn near perfectly lined up.

I thought I'd post our final outfits for the World Steam Expo:

From Friday at Village:

BTW:  I was very sad as I didn't see any other steampunks that day at the Village.  Maybe because it was so hot they went to the museum.

From Saturday night:

sealion

Had a wonderful time at the World Steam Expo and got lots of compliments on the garb! I put my feet up and fell asleep as soon as we got home so I don't have any photos to share yet.

Serena- We never made it over to Greenfield Village because we didn't want to miss anything going on at the con. Thought about going today but the weather turned nasty. Love your purple gown!
