Let us know how it looks and fits. I'm really considering getting the bra and it'd be nice to know if its worth it :)

Does anyone know where I could by blank hat pins...I'm working on a sort of mad hatter costume for halloween...I want to decorate my own hat pins...I've already found some fun things to put on them...

I've found 4" pin blanks at Michaels and 6" on eBay; I think other people have had success at Hobby Lobby.  I use the clear mushroom-shaped earring backs they sell at Michaels to hold the beads on.

RE:  Clockwork bra and corset....Once I receive them and see that they fit, I will post pics.  I'm a little concerned that it's in two pieces, but then again that might be a good thing.

RE:  Avatar problem...not that this is on topic, but I just cannot get an avatar pic to post!  But yes, that's me in the red fairwear.

Things are shaping up to be...
Pretty. Odd.

Selkie

While I plan to be attending TRF on Halloween, I really am wanting to just wear my selkie costume I wore at Anime Central. It doesn't really fall under steampunk so much and  I don't want to modify the dress to fit with that style. I'm not sure what to do.  ???

Gina, R/F will not let you post a picture from your computer files, so you have to host it online somewhere first.  If you put the picture on a site like photobucket then there is a "direct link" box that will show up under the picture. Click this to copy it, then paste it in the appropriate field on your R/F Forum Profile Information page.  HOwever, if you move the file around in your photobook album at a later date then it will disappear from your R/F settings.  If you have a picture somewhere like facebook, right click the photo, choose "view image". When the image appears on it's own page in your browser copy the URL in the address field of your browser screen and paste it in the "I have my own pic" field on your Forum Profile Information page.  Also, if you first crop the image into a square, instead of leaving it in the usual rectangle shape, it will not stretch out of proportion, either squishing or stretching you unnaturally...  Hope this helps!

Rani, thanks for the suggestions.  I'm using a pic in photobucket.  David suggested I resize the pic...I'm not very good with this sort of thing, but I'm going to keep trying.

Back to steampunk...!  My friends think I'm really crazy, off the deep end with all of this talk of steampunk fashion.

This weekend, for as hot and miserable as it was, proved to be fairly fruitful.

I worked a little on my Spanish ropa/Italian overgown and that is almost completed.  I also painted & stamped the rest of the limited run - less than 20 - TRF AHE SP badges.  If you are going to be at TRF on AHE in all your steamy finery and aren't yet on the list for that badge, let me know asap.  I won't be making any more once they're all spoken for.  I also hit up Goodwill & found some nice brown lace-up ankle boots and a cute taupey-tan bolero that's just begging to be steamed up and  "discovered" the manga Vampire Knight at the 1/2 Price Books & am enjoying those.

Finally, I received Girl Genius Vol. 9 in Thursday's mail.  Imagine my surprise to find that the sketch I commissioned of Jagers Taffy & Dimo was included with some Jager-y goodness in the back!   ;D

So my coat should be on it's way at the end of this week!  I haven't really collected many SP items though.... gonna have to remedy that!  Still not sure what to do with the hat either.  :-\

Invictus Maneo - I Remain Unvanquished

Deckard And Zhora

I REALLY need to get some pics taken of my current projects!

I finished my bionic arm made from leather belts and a copper hinged desk lamp...that's a vague description, but you'll get it when I show pictures!

I am really close to being done with my coat (I HOPE that AHE is cool) that has tails. I had a hard time with this as the lovely tails of the coat covered up my wonderful bustle, so I modified the coat so that my bustle sticks through. It's kind of funny.

The next thing I will be working on is to modify my cell phone to fit in a SP-looking case and still be functional. If you have seen Warehouse 13, think of the Farnsworths they communicate with!

And my lovely husband found some AWESOME pocket watches that he got on ebay for $.01. The only thing was that they were shipped from China so between the two of them it was around $20 once shipping was included. But for two pocket watches?! Not bad!

I'm still in search for boots (I need to get some flat, tall lace up boot/explorer types that aren't too expensive) and I have an idea for a cute umbrella. I also need to get DH working on modifying our Nerf guns and make holsters.

I know it will be here before I know it!!

Taffy Saltwater

D&Z, I'm watching Warehouse 13 as I'm typing.  Your projects sound really fun - can hardly wait to see your arm.
