Things are shaping up to be...
Pretty. Odd.

TiaLD77

Thank you every one. I love this fabric, Its is a wool but is so light it doesnt feel that bad on a warm day & it was a joy to work with wich is always a plus!  The cap, partalet, & camica were the finishing touches for it this year, Oh & new bloomers. Other than socks, shoes & leather pouch the entire get up was done by me  ;D
I want to play with your head like a drunk kitten:)

I haven't been on here in ages, actually haven't been sewing for almost a year or better. I was inspired this season to Finally finish an ensamble.

I agree, that colour is so... well, gorgeous. And I love the lines of the dress.
I love this color. For years I've been telling myself that I will make something teal/turquoise. <sigh>
Your dress is lovely.

Valencia

Kate, those bags are gorgeous! The brown one is my fav, which is funny because the brown dress was my fav, too! : )

Kate XXXXXX

Thank you.  :)

The three brown ones are made form the scraps from the bridesmaid gowns and the red from the bride's scraps.

Taffy Saltwater

Oh, the pretty, pretty bags!  Lovely job on all of it.
Sveethot!

X posted from the steampunk thread - a mad scientist's apron:

I'll embellish it a little, but for all intents & purposes, it's done.
Sveethot!

Rani Zemirah

Can't wait to see it with the rest of your Steamy garb!!!

Agree - I'd love to see more Steampunk cross-posts, too!

Here's a cincher I just finished for my mom. It's forest-green velvet on one side and black duck on the other.  The "boning" was done with plastic zip-ties from Home Depot. I used iron-on hem bonding to make the boning channels, too. Cheaty-cheat-cheat, I know.

Maybe now I will attempt a bodice. Someday.

P.S. - Hurrah for Hallowee'n at the thrift store: The blouse/skirt are Unicorn Clothing - retail value $100, obtained for $6 (yes, six! s-i-x! dollars!)

Garb: lovingly hand-washed, gently pressed, and hung in climate-controlled closet. Mundane clothing: usually on floor.

I finally got some better shots of the brides. These were taken at final dress by a pro theater photographer.  It is kind of nice to sit back and actually watch the show instead of trying to get good shots.

Oh btw I was asked to make a matching baby doll dress for a little girl in the show that becomes a vampire.  Turned out kind of cute... in an evil baby doll kind of way.  ::)
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.
