To your good health, Rani. *clink*  :)

Hello Rani,

I am but a humble Knight and not one who heals but I can tell you I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. One of the things all Knights learn early in life is "Dues Lo Vult" God Wills It... Please stay strong on your quest and I am sure he will lead the way for you.

I am also a Diabetic and take several shots a day. They are nothing to be afraid of and you do get use to them. They do not hurt. It is a mental thing to focus on and you will get thought it. Keep the faith good lady!

My daughter Princess Emma also sends you her blessings and wishes for a full recovery.

Good Luck!!!

Thank you all so much for your kind words and well wishes!  I'm very excited by this latest news, as you can all imagine!  My doctor has said it's vary rare for anyone to cease being diabetic (unless it's pregnancy induced, of course), but there are cases, and healthy liver function is a very important part of overall health, so he's pretty sure that was the most likely cause of it in the first place.  I haven't had to take any meds for it in almost a year now, though, so I was convinced it was gone when I started feeling better even without them.

Now to start getting my strength back, as well...

I am glad you got GOOD news! That is a lot to go through.(hugs)

Merlin the Elder

Rani, that's wonderful news. I've gathered from some of your posts that you've had to deal with some difficult medical conditions.

One of these days, Nim and I will make your acquaintance, and I'm very much looking forward to that day. I sense a very good heart and soul in you, and my intuition is generally right. I don't think there's a chance of making TRF for AHE, but we've been known to fall prey to impulse. Our best wishes are with you.

Thank you, Mairte, and you to, Merlin!

There have been times when it was, indeed, very difficult, but I've had wonderful friends and supporters here on R/F (as you would no doubt be able to see were you to take a day or two to read through this extremely looong thread... :o ), and it would have been so much harder without all the prayers and well wishes.  In fact, a great deal of it was filled with laughter, hilarity and even a bit of naked-fire-dancing and raver-sacrificing!  All in order to appease the Gods, you understand...  ;)  heheh

It was the laughter, most of all, that saved my sanity... and for that I am profoundly grateful.

Rani,

Huzzah! That is such wonderful news - and such a great way to start the weekend and the rest of your life.

Merlin the Elder

Laughter definitely is the best medicine, to steal a phrase from Reader's Digest. The frau complains that I don't smile enough, but under this beard, who can tell?!? I've got one reserved just for you, Rani. ...but let's be clear: you don't ever want to see me naked-fire-dancing...it might push you over the edge of sanity.  :D

Oh, after some of the things I've seen (and had to do) in the last few years... believe me, sanity is the last thing I'm worried about losing!  ::)  LOLOL

(can't lose whatcha don't have, right?)

Lady Kett, you're so right!  It really does feel like "the rest of my life", finally, or at least it's definitely starting to!  Few more bugs to work out, but I feel like I'm actually headed somewhere now, instead of just waiting around to start living again!  I'm pretty excited... :D

Rani ...sorry this is late in coming to you. have not been on here in a while. Been a busy month for me.

Anyway I am so happy for  you girlfriend.  I remember when you were going thru  your  bad health situation, and I  and  others on here kept telling you " Don't give up, there are better days ahead ."   I'm proud of you for not giving up. It took alot of  courage  and strength on your part  and I say  way  to go  girlfriend.

Huzzah  to being healthy again. You  deffinitely deserve it girlfriend ! Now  go out there, kick up your heels , have fun, and  enjoy   your new healthy life ! :)

Thank you, Amy!  It's been a long road, and I certainly couldn't have gotten through it without all the support and encouragement I've received here on R/F.  I have so much gratitude for all of you who have been here for me, and there is no way I can ever thank all of you enough!

I need to start getting my strength back now, so I can get back to doing all the things I used to enjoy so much!

Verily woot, Rani! I'm sorry my words of support come late but I, too, have been away from the forums a while. Hang in there, lady, and keep the positives coming!
