I am grateful I have found someone who brings out the very best in me - and who makes me forget the very worst of me.

And I am SO very grateful for the many friends I have, from all the different aspects of my life, who encourage and support all my different crazy habits! HUZZAH!
In this I am all things.

I'm an thankful for my friend Tom. He was ordained as a Catholic Priest this last weekend and I was lucky enough to be there to witness it. The thing that makes me the most grateful is that here's this guy who is so very much a Priest, always willing to lend an ear and a shoulder, and he thanked me for always being there when he needed a friend. That's pretty special.

I am grateful for provision and a man in my life who writes so beautifully, thinks about how things affect me, reaches from within and shares.  :)

Just noticed this one.  I haven't been into the hard rockin' stuff in awhile, but someone showed me this a couple of months ago and it quickly became a favorite.  Some great words of wisdom in there....especially when you know the story behind the song.

I'm grateful for my good health, family, friends, and the opportunity to be living where I want and doing what I love!  It can't get much better than that!

I am grateful to be alive and living in such times as these. We are on the brink of a new awakening. Can't you just feel it?

I am grateful for friends who are family, and family who are friends.  For people you haven't seen in 9 months who take up the entire first day of faire playing catch-up, for people you've only met over this forum who turn out to be instant friends you didn't know you had and wonderful to share a hotel room with as well (Hi Mel and SO!!!!).

For people who make you sit down in the shade and bring you water, run halfway across site because they found out where you were and hadn't hugged you yet, and walk all the way around site to find you because your hazard lights are blinking, on the chance that because it has Minnesota plates and a chihuahua bobber in the back window, it must be your car.

For people who find a way to make use of talents you aren't sure you have and then Thank You for doing what you would have gladly paid to be allowed to do, oh, and this other thing you've always wanted to do, we got approval for that too!

For people who know you better than you know yourself, and use it against you in only the most loving fashion and for your own good.  For people who know you worse than you know yourself, and don't believe you when you try to destroy their illusion, so you end up being better than you are because they Must know something you don't.

I got to thinking about this today...caught in a bit of a musing about one I recently parted ways with. Remembering the good, then so quickly, the pain and angst of that association. I remember standing in the middle of my apartment, at the depth of my sorrow (at that time), wanting to be wanted, appreciated, and even desired by one who I too treasured...

...it took only opening my eyes, for She who has always been at my side - was there as ever...patient, loving, nurturing. My deepest regret Love, was my lack of awareness that it was there, as strong and sure as ever. I'll not take you for granted again. I am Forever Grateful for You Dearest.

Others came forth, seemingly out of the woodwork, who lifted my spirits, filled my heart with much warmth, laughter, and merriment. Yours' was a salve unto my soul. You'll never know the countless "little things" that each of you did - that I so appreciated. And still do.

And then to You. You, who reached past my defenses so effortlessly, and touched me...

where I never knew I could be touched...

Though I tell you often, and in many ways -

I have grown to Treasure You more than words or deeds can bear.

I am grateful for the people who, against the odds, operate a little out-of-the-way natural foods store (to my knowledge the only one in the county) and just happened to carry real ginger ale. Thanks, too, for the wizard who offered it to me. After nearly a month on prevacid and a couple of weeks on antibiotics, it was this BOTTLE OF GINGER ALE (!!) that has best quelled my ulcer nausea and helped me feel normal. I'm going back today to stock up!   ;D  Huzzah to the makers of real ginger ale!  And even more fundamentally, huzzah for the existence of ginger!! (I knew ginger was supposed to be good for one's gut but not that it could actually fight disease. A little online research indicated a cautious statement about it improving ulcers. I'd say it's the cure.)

I'm grateful for the speed of communication made possible by the internet. I'm also very grateful for the wealth of information provided on it (the only way I figured out what was wrong with me when very ill and the doctors were clueless).

I'm grateful for the willingness of school counselors, administrators and support staff for taking time out their busy days to talk to me about what their students' needs outside the classroom so I can tailor my after school program to be of real benefit. I'll be sending out some thank you cards  :)
