WOW!!  It's been so quiet here, and now I know why: Everyone's been finishing gorgeous things!

Laura, I'm so glad you came back to post your finish!!  Your in-progress pix inspired me to start a corded, curved-front-opening gown of my own, and now I'm eager to finish it!

Dona C, SPLENDID! Love that russet velvet.

And Dreamfaerie, congratulations! (On both the gown and getting married!) Your gown is SPECTACULAR! Very period, yet so current too with that gorgeous teal-and-brown color combination. We'd love to see more, if you have closeups of the fabrics, details of the patterns you used, etc.

Rebecca, you really do have a talent.  Love the pretty crochet shawl. Perfect touch.

Dona as always really nice choice of fabrics and trims. Your husband looks so happy in his new garb. :)

Dreamfarie, echoing the congratulations and huzzahs. Your gown is wonderful. Such pretty colors together. Curious which pattern you used too.

Last year wasnt a very productive year for me. But I did make the gray dress for my oldest (and a brown one for the youngest, but she wanted to be a pirate instead). And a pair of bloomers (that I have no clue where that pic went). Hopefully this year will be better and more productive.

May the stars always shine upon you and yours.

Beautiful!  Everyone, such gorgeous work!  I guess I can actually post something in here now, myself... finally!

I made the vest from a piece of sueded microfiber remnant that I found at Hancock's, and decorated the hat with some of Scally Wag's treasured Faire favors she's collected over the last couple of years, along with some wonderful gold scalloped satin fringe, gold studs, a bit of beaded fringe and of course Humphrey the Faerie/Pirate Rennie Hamster (who chose that very day to fly off in search of fortune and adventure)...

This is my wedding dress, the first major sewing project.  Before this my projects amounted to a few gathered skirts.

I finally got some shots of the costume I designed. The costume is a forester's garb for the main heroine, named Shannan, in my mom's book Allon (http://www.allonbooks.com). The first book in the fantasy series was published last year, so Mom asked me to do this costume to wear at shows and signings.

Here's the original drawing...

And the final costume...

Excellent work!  I love all of the buckles.

That looks terrific! Is the vest all suede?
