Still... Scally was extremely disappointed, since we've been trying to plan this for a while, now... and she's never been to a drive-in before.  We'll try again next weekend, and just hope they still have to same movies...

If you ever find yourself near Wimberley, TX, you might check out the Theater that's mentioned at minute 21:29 in Episode 204 of Day Tripper with Chet Garner.  I know if I'm ever over in that area of TX, I want to visit the place that's mentioned at minute 16:55.

Thanks!  Now I'm really missing Wimberley...    I used to go there at least twice a year before a friend moved away from there.  I really need to go back!

Im thinking a good percentage of this 460 page topic has little to do with an actual countdown for TRF, so my post was well placed  

It was a nice mix of somber and peppy and I have a feeling they wont be noisy like that again.

Already have some fun new garb pieces for my Scally Wag, and am trying to get it together enough to start sewing for myself soon, but that pesky work thing has been getting in teh way lately...

Ive got the frame done, need to carve the dragon heads on it and then we will start working on the canvas.  Had to take time off of that project to make a new core for a scabbard I had. I wanted to re-wrap it with leather as opposed to the suede it came with, to make it more accurate, but when i unwrapped it I broke the core.

Never made one before, but I think it turned out well.

In't that what we always get for fixing something what ain't broke?    heheh  Maybe you should have just wrapped leather over the existing suede?  I'm sure it turned out awesome, though!  Pics, please?

The A-frame sounds really cool!  I'd like to see pics of it, as well, since you won't be there for AHE again this year...

I just finished the wood core today but I dont have any 2oz leather left. Once its done I post a pic. So far its working well, sword fits nicely and is much better than the cheap core I had before.

That is one thing I have always enjoyed about the community, the sheer volume of crafting talent.

Hmph... they never did play THOR tonight, and I'm just a bit miffed!  I never would have made the 50 mile round trip AGAIN tonight if I thought they were only going to play the two movies, especially since the website said they would be playing all three!!!
