Isn't that what PTO is for?  Most of mine goes towards non-local faires and other historical time-line events.

That's what all of my PTO goes for! There's nothing I'd rather spend time-off doing than going to Faire! :)

Unless you're self-employed...  :-\

Then you still have PTO, it's just at a different rate on the P scale. There are many, many times a day I wish I were self-employed. Remember Rani, with great power, comes great responsibility. <hugs>

Into our lives, a little Rani will fall...  :-*

I did the self-employed bit for a while. Occasionally, the money was fantastic, but the uncertainly (and resulting stress) of that paycheck finally got to me.  Oddly enough, I feel like I have more freedom now, but that's only because my movements are no longer limited by finances. We've done more in the past five years that we had in the 35 years prior.

Regardless of available monetary resources, the fact remains, you're a true Rennie if you're willing to expend a significant percentage of your time and income for faire.  Does that clarify what I meant?

Why is Alyson Hannigan going through my head right now? ...and why do I feel it prudent to keep Captain Duckman away from pies? ...something is not right here. I think it's me.

Sounds like my youngest two. Can not play any music with out them asking to hear their music.
May the stars always shine upon you and yours.

Speaking of which ...

You know you're a true Rennie when your church says, "Dress like a pirate Sunday," and you show up garbed from boots to tricorn, complete with weapons, and make the bandana-and-blue jeans pirate wannabes gasp.

It's actually the fourth time I've gotten to dress like a pirate at church, but I was playing a role the previous three.

One of my friends looked at me and said, "You do go to renaissance festivals, don't you!"
