I did not see this mentioned yet, put now would be a good time for smokers to try the new electronic cigarettes.  I here you can get them from Walgreen, Target, & Costco to name a few.  This will allow you to smoke anywhere, however you may find yourself explaining them to others all day as the e-cigarettes do produce a vapor that looks like smoke.

Okay the weather 'experts' are showing we should start seeing rain around 3 this afternoon.  Everyone go wash your cars lol!  ;D

We are planning to go to Academy this afternoon too.  Seems to be on just about everyones To Do list.

Just bought my Fire Extinguisher at Lowes it was only $17 bucks. Good price. Just had this feeling that academy was going to be more expensive. Looks like we will be able to cook our Fajitas first weekend going to use my Weber Propane grill. Camp will still be well lit with our propane lanterns. Just wanted to get the Extinguisher just in case. My wife looked at the almanac and it said theres supposed to be some rain in Oct. Hopefully its right.

My Dad will be using his e-cig at fair. Back at camp I'm sure he will be hunting the smoking area.

Rained here for a short period!  I just hope the rain made its way to the faire grounds too.  Still cloudy and the chance for more rain tonight and tomorrow are looking good. :)

Update!  Just heard some rumbling from the sky!  That is a wonderful sound. :)

... PK and Bastrop parks are not expected to recover for decades. ...
Last year, we visited Sherwood and stayed in Bastrop (as you know Doña). Driving back and forth through Bastrop Park, I thought it was such a beautiful drive. I know it's going to be a major shock to see next February when we return to the area.

Some of the site webcams show wet bricks, but no standing water.

Pray the forecast for the next week holds up. Need three weeks of daily 2-3 inches.

For our SWFF friends, expect the same fire restrictions for the upcoming Celtic Festival weekend. Rules will be posted in the SWFF group here and on the YahooGroups message base.
