I finished my Jane costume last week. I wore it to a party on the 21st, and can't wait to wear it again on Halloween!

For the umbrella, I wound up finding a white cotton umbrella at an online art store, then I dyed it yellow, and hand-stitched all the eyelet trim on the edge.

That just screams Springtime!  Lovely work!

Lady Rebecca - I love the Yellow ensemble.

Lady Stitch you and the PP have the most wonderful Pirate Treasure.  She is absolutely adorable, and I love the costume.

Well done to both of the Ladies.
Why do I feel like I've worn something like this before?

Evie McCann

Awesome work, Lady Rebecca! That is lovely.

Love the Victorian!

My nephew with his new "pumpkin" cloak.   When I asked him what he wanted to be yesterday, he told me a pumpkin!   So, I made him a cloak in a pumpkin style.

You can see the details a bit better in this one.  I used a "pumpkin seed" button (it was really a walnut shaped button but that's okay).

I wanted him to be warm for Halloween since it's actually pretty darn cold here already.  (It snowed yesterday)   I know how highly annoying it is to have to wear your winter coat over your costume so I thought to make him a nice medieval styled cloak.  It would keep him warm and he'd still have a costume to show off.   This is nothing more than an orange circle cloak, a green circle "cowl", and a square hood in green.   There is very little sewing involved since it's fleece but he loved it.   :-)

I made one for his 1 year old brother as well but my other nephew wasn't awake when I dropped of the new and improved Halloween outfits.  No winter coats necessary!  Huzzah!

My son saw your nephews cloak and says " Wow thats cool! I want one" add it to my list I guess lol.

He looks adorable!

It's very simple to make.  It took me all of a half hour.  :-) You could easily make it a project night project with your son.

Oh, my gosh, Lady Rebecca--when you were *saying* "Jane ensemble," I didn't know what you meant--but now that I *see* it, it's PERFECT!!! (And I've never even seen the Tarzan cartoon.) FABULOUS!

Adriana Rose

thats a good idea, next time I get to a fabric store we will get the stuff for it.

Evie McCann

Love the pumpkin cloak. That's a great idea!
