While the schedule hasn't been updated I think (hope) its safe to say that they will be carrying on with the lectures this year.  So since it around a month till openning figured this was a good time to start throwing out topics to give the cast ideas what people are interrested in.

One new idea for a topic I'd like to see is the myths and legends that were popular in 1533 I know King Authur and Robin Hood were popular but what were some of the others?

A good one would be everyday food and beverages.
How did foods vary between the classes?

It's not ren, but how about a talk on the difference between Pirates an Privateers.  They Pirates seem to be growing in number recently.

Also maybe something about Court manners, dress, Knightly Virtues.  The code of Chivalry. Music and Dance of the times

Sorry if these have been discussed before, I've only been to Scabby once.
Why do I feel like I've worn something like this before?

I'm not sure if anyone from this year's HCM team is on the boards, but I will poke them and see and, if not, forward the suggestions to them. :)

I am not an employee of Scarborough Faire and to not represent them in any way.

They have done pirates vs privateers before and its always a popular lecture worth repeating as are cour manners and dress.  I don't think we've done music and dance before that should be fun since dancing and music are a big part of Scarby.

Sorry, I will endeavor to proof read more carefully from now on.

Yes, I know you were just kidding with me Merlin.

We need to know how to bow & curtsy by 4/14!  Otherwise, VIII will have our heads!

You just want to see me lose my head!

PS: I watched last year at the HCM, but didn't practice, and forgot ...left leg is forward, or right? Expose the inside of the leg...not skin, but just so that the inside of the leg is facing...supposed to show respect, as I recall... Or am I dreaming all this?  BTW, not talking about the curtsy...I'm talking about the bow.

Right leg for God left for crown, ladies keep back stright so as not to show clevage.  Men foot turned slightly toward the outside to show off a strong calf. most reverence should be high not low. If I remember the lecture correct.

It sounds like your memory is working quite well Merlin.
Ladies should curtsy so as not to expose the back of their bodies to the view of others.
