That was my daughter's input for the costume, Kate!. Winter is just around the corner here in Minnesota. Snow is in the forecast.

Finally finished the green wool jacket, it is lined with a brown linen blend called potting soil as a color, the sleeves are lined with off cuts of a heavier white linen blend. This was going to be totally hand sewn until I decided I rather have it done. The pattern is from Margaret Layton's jacket with minor adjustments. It is just pinned shut for the photos, it might get some hooks and eyes eventually.

What are you standing in front of? You look like you've stepped out of Wuthering Heights (where you are dressed in a quaint old-fashioned manner, of course  ), but that could be my shoddy internet connection making that background look like a bank of fog rolling in off the moors...

I ended up not going to the event because of a lot of issues that day (hence why I look like a zombie in the picture as well..nom...bRaInz....)

It's a wool Scottish early 1500's Kirtle with a wool apron and wool sleeves.   It's quite warm.  I do need to take it in a bit under the arms but that's it.  :-)
