Do you have a list of castles that currently provide hotel, B&B, or self-catering over-night stays for guests?

When doing a Google Search, it seems like most of the results are in a town with a castle, near a castle, or even in building that are on the grounds of a castle --- but very few are in an actual castle.

Mostly you are going to find that the actual castles are NOT set up for sleepovers, especially if they are now museums.
I don't keep a list of castles with accomodations but if you google 'sleep in a castle' or 'dormir en le chateau" a few things come up.

Looks like Cerveny Kamen Castle, in southwestern Slovakia (03-JAN-13), had its red tile roof replaced with a gray-painted copper roof sometime before 2011.

There's a news article about the copper roof sustaining some wind damage in 2011 -

I imagine replacing that much roofing would be quite expensive, with either tile or copper.

Malconsiglio- The medieval festival is held in the castle. The archery tournament is actually held adjacent in an enclosed courtyard.

I'm relatively new to this site, and having been swamped all winter, have only just begun truly exploring it. That said, I just discovered your castle thread today, and am simply enjoying all the beautiful photographs. I'm sure as I have more time, and get caught up, that I'll read further information that you post. Probably won't often look at the map links/coordinates, but who knows at this point ...

Thanks for doing this ... I had no idea there were so very many castles still left standing!!! I have GOT to get back to Europe!!! I've only been there once, to Germany, so have only seen a few in person.

I too am really amazed on how you can find all of these castles! Its great though. Today's is probably my favorite thus far.
