Thank you Evie.  My kit is very comfortable to wear, and the layers are going to be invaluable over the summer.

I do like those gowns of yours.  Very smart!

DonaCatalina

You look so comfortable in that green dress. Very well done and both are so beautiful.

Can anyone explain how to post pics?  I'm not quite sure how to manage it?  ???

Kate!  The black with the buttons on the sleeve.  *squee*  Love it!  So simple and elegant (not to mention comfy looking!)

Thank you ladies. I still have some work to do on them, but they worked fine for opening weekend.
I still need to make a doublet for the black/white gown and for the green gown I plan to make false sleeves to match the underskirt.
DC, I'm sorry I missed you on opening day. We spent most of the day in Pecan Grove, but hopefully I'll be back before the season is over.

Serenity, it's bitter chocolate rather than black, and yes, super comfy!  I made all of Nesta's clothes to be clothes rather than costume, and comfort and practicality were the watchwords. Everything but the coat and the cape is linen and machine washable and tumble dryer-proof!  There is another almost finished outfit on the way.

Cool Kate! Can't wait to see it!

Dona! Love that doublet.  Hubby is of a similar shape, and he's been looking for a doublet that doesn't hit him mid belly over his kilt.
What pattern did you use?

Sorry Kate.  I actually am a bit color blind.  It sucks, but luckily my wonderful husband is very good with colors!

Rowan!!

Here is a  Doublet I made for the husband of Lady Kett last year that he wore with his kilt. I used the Fantasy Fashions Doublet Pattern and eliminated the point.

Thanks for the compliments. It is a frankenpatterned version of the 'Easy Elizabethan Doublet Pattern". It was originally all blue when he was 20 years younger and a few pounds lighter.
