Gah!!!  I need some Faire, NOW!!!  I think it's time to start dragging the garb bins out to see what still fits, and what needs to stay home!  My lifter/hauler is currently doing her homework, though... so it might have to wait just a bit.  I wonder if wearing a corset every day for a few weeks would help my back get better faster...  :D  heheh

Camp coffee pot is a good idea, but I want a Keurig like Riot has!

I don't have it anymore..

Gotta air out my tent soon!

Yeah, I should have done that when i said I was going to (when the days were nice and hot, now it's been all rainy and such.  But this weekend is supposed to be nice, though!!

Looking at tents.  Borrowed one recently that was 'quick' as far as setting up and taking down, the poles are already attached.  I liked it.  But it was a bit small for all of the things I know I will 'overpack' and bring lol.  Now I just found these and they look interesting.  I like the idea of having all that room to move around and a ceiling height that is not tapered.  7' 2" peak!  Wow!

Wow, Prices aren't bad!  I like that third one with the little porch.  (And those reed mats in the pic definitely will be going on my gear list, thanks)

I have a 3 room tent, but it's really nothing more than big tent with 2 removable divisions, like hanging a sheet.  We use it when we take friends and fam who don't have camping equipment.  And yes, the girls love the high ceiling and room to move around.  Even thinking of carrying a garment rack to hang garb on!
But when I go solo or with my 2 kiddoes I take the small one person tent.

I was thinking about a garment rack but...I think I will probably keep my garb locked up in the car.  That will also, in theory, deter me from overpacking lol.

Bonny, did I miss something about your travel trailer?

I like those tents, also... but I worry that they didn't have more info, like what the denier thickness was for the polyester... and the one with the porch is cool, but will it fill up with water when it rains (because you know it's going to rain)?

The 16 x 16 looks pretty amazing, and I have been wanting a really BIG tent for ages... but will that long ridge pole be strong enough in high winds to keep the tent standing up?  That worries me, also.

The one with the peaked roof also looks nice and roomy, but I wonder how hard it would be to put together.

GAHHHH!!!  I keep on finding more questions than answers, the more tents I look at!  I am soooo indecisive when it comes to making major purchases like this!  And yes, this IS a major purchase for me, because I plan to use whatever tent I buy for the next several years, so I want to make sure it's going to last, and hold up to the frequently extreme shifts in weather and temperatures that we get at Faire.

I can see us sleeping in the van because I couldn't make up my mind...  ::)  lol

Oh, but this is definitely something I would like to have in camp, along with an on-demand water heater!  That is, if they have the running water out there, now...

Hmmm... this is kind of interesting.  I wonder how strong it is.  Haven't found any reviews of it, so far... but how cool would it be to just pump up your tent in a few seconds?!?

Oh, that's interesting... I had no idea it would display the video when I inserted the link!

Rani, TRF camp has showers now. :)  Not sure what the cost is yet though.

I have this tent
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Trail-3-Room-XL-Vacation-Lodge-Camping-Tent/10996294

Was way more expensive a year and a half ago.  Used it about 4 weekends.  Relatively easy set up (set it up by myself), waterproofed seams and fly and had no issues with rain or runoff water, pretty sturdy against the wind (but I did have to replace cheap guy line stakes with stronger ones).

I read about that, Bonny!  I wonder how long the lines will be, also, and how many shower stalls there are?

I'm so excited to see all the changes that have been made since the last time we were down there!  Inside the gates, also!  New stages, new taverns and new places to eat, from what I've been reading... sounds like there will be plenty to explore all over again!

I'm all interested in these inflatable tents, now... and there is a series in the UK called Vango that looks really sturdy... but they're are crazy expensive, and you can't buy them over here unless you pay crazy shipping prices, I'm sure.  I'm really starting to think I WANT one, though!  :D

Hector... I've been looking at that one, also.  How tall are the "wings"?  Can you walk into the side rooms without having to bend at all?  I'm not very tall, but I want a tent that is going to be tall enough for me to walk through all of it without having to bend.  We had a dome tent for years, and it was nice and high in the middle, but the sides would brush my head if I had to stand close to them, and now I want something with straighter walls.

Rapier has a couple of really nice straight-wall tents that I've been thinking about, also!  I've been in them, and they're really roomy.  I haven't asked him how they hold up to rain and wind, though.

Rani, I believe that is the one I have also.  If it is, yes there is plenty of room to stand on each side.  The big issue I have with it is that the entire top is mesh (didn't realize this when we bought it), which is great when its warm, but miserable at 35-40 degrees!!   :o

LoL   If I recall correctly I think I only had to duck my head down a bit in the corners.
But yes, the entire top is a mesh. Which does make it pretty much ambient temperature.  :P
