You are a beautiful model, Bonny, and the photog did a great job.  Can't wait to see future publications.

B... my avatar is a semi-candid shot that Elo took while I was posing with the Pirate Lads so someone ELSE could take our photo... and her's turned out to be one of my very favorite Faire pics, ever!  That was in 2009, at Scarby, over Memorial weekend... and it was the first time I had ever met any R/Fers in person, after being a member here for close to a year or so, I believe.  I keep it up there because, well, it's a pretty decent pic of me (which can be hard to come by, since I almost NEVER like photos of myself)... but also because every time I see it, it reminds me of what a wonderful weekend that was... and what amazing friends and Fairmily I have acquired since then.  :)

(sigh)  Oh, goodness, am I tired.  LOOOONG day today, with my great-nephew's b-day party (house full of 2 y/o's, cake and a pinata)... AND an all-day Mini-Non Wedding!  I LOVE going to costumers weddings!!!  It was so much fun, and so incredibly creative... and since it was one of our DarkFaery Girls, we helped as much as we could.  Luckily there were LOTS of volunteers, so it all got cleaned up pretty quickly, but we're still completely worn out!  Hoping pain killers kick in REALLY soon...

Also hoping those of you out enjoying Faire this weekend are having wonderful weather, dry conditions and as much fun as you can possibly stand!  And then just a little bit more... ;)

Soooo... THIS happened last night.  We were at the wedding/mini-con of a couple of good friends, and one of their friends is a face painter who volunteered her services for the afternoon/evening.

Oh, yeah... cut my hair all off a week or so ago, also.  :D

Why, thank you, Fraser!  :)  We had a great time, and even got to hold one of the owls that were there with the Birds of Prey show!  The hawk was an actual part of the ceremony, as the ring bearer... and FLEW the rings up to the dais!!!  It was pretty incredible...

Sir Martin

Very nice photo of you both, Rani.  I've never heard of a hawk participating in a wedding ceremony before ... very cool.

Rani Zemirah

It really WAS cool, Sir Martin!  I've never seen anything like that, either.  Here's a link to the video, and if you fast forward to the 7:47 mark you can see it!  It was indoors, also, which was something new to me, as well.  The only birds I've ever seen fly indoors were those that got in by mistake!

What a remarkable wedding . . . thanks, Rani!

On a completely unrelated note (but then again, nothing much is off-topic in this thread) . . . does anyone know what the shoe-shine guy charges to polish 9-button boots at TRF?  I know there is a fellow in a shoppe across from the Royal Mint, but perhaps there are others that I have not seen.

The hawk was AMAZINGLY cool, and loved, loved, loved  her outfit!  Never seen a Masquerade Wedding before!!  I wish I knew more about the couple, the circumstances, the decision to have such a unique ceremony.

Funny moment though at 3:30 -
Minister - "At the request of the Bride and groom, they would like to share with you some special vows that they have written for each other"  (Looks to groom)
Groom - "Well, I was SUPPOSED to write some vows, but THAT didn't happen..."
:)
