The B-17 he flew actually caught fire on a trip from Texas to Arizona and he had to put it into a steep dive to try and put out the fires. He did say it was like pulling a rock out of a dive and got the fires out and pulled back up at 2000 feet. WOW that would be scary.

No kidding, that is to wild!

Well, here's three from me, from an outing today.







This last one was made with a modified Nikon D40.  I removed part of it's insides and replaced it with an Infrared filter.  If anyone is interested, I'll be glad to explain how its done and what its for.

There is a chocolate exhibit going on at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI.  We took my daughter.  They had a cafe complete with a chocolate dipping fountian.   This is the result--she told me it was "really yummy!"

We've been to The Raptor Center a bunch of times. My dad is a semi-pro photographer (www.dlcphoto.net) and his specialty is birds. I don't know how he has so much patience, but he can sit for hours to get really awesome pictures. Him and my mom travel a lot to do photography. He's led photography tours in Costa Rica and is going to do it in November in Brazil.

Lady Tess, has your dad ever travelled to the Upper Mississippi River valley area? I'm in Bettendorf, Iowa, right on the Mississippi. In winter, we get hundreds of bald eagles. Lots of great photo opportunities, with no need for a passport.
