My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the Ren Family in Ike's path and for the citizens of Texas.

Garb can always be replaced. YOU however, cannot!!! Stay safe please!!!

Getting windy East of Austin. Nothing like what was expected. No rain here- yet- and we sure need it. Power is out in Houston the news said. Hope all are safe.

After we shut down and wrapped (with plastic sheeting) the Labs at NASA where I work, I left Houston around Noon on Thursday.  I'm safe-n-sound visiting some friends in McDade (near Elgin, where Queen Bonnie's Meow Manor is located).  So far this morning (Saturday), there have only been light wind gusts here, not even as much as a Summer Thunderstorm.

My apartment is down near NASA --- I'm on the 2nd Floor (so I'm not too worried about flooding), but hopefully it still has windows and a roof!  :o

Take Care,

I just heard from Var. She is in Houston. No power but they are OK. She and Lawrence prepared!
I hope everyone else is safe! The pictures from Galveston are sad.

Talked to Papagnome, he and T went to Spring to wait out the storm. They talked to a neighbor who told them there was a tree down in the yard, but no flooding so they will be ok soonish

TMI is hosting a crowd of Rennies, here is his post from last night on the groups (reposted with hopes of future permission lol):

Headcount as of 7 Central:

12 Humanoids and Brian/Angel

8 Cats

2 Dogs

We had the pleasure of putting lots o' wood up...hehe...and helping others secure their abodes.

We have heard from tons of people who have offered alternative locations, but we feel safe here and our heavily fortified and dug in.

We are now barricaded here at home, with a curfew in effect.  So if you are coming to TMI's Bail Bonds and Evacuee Center (LOL), you need to be here by 9 PM.

We have supplies, generator, etc.  From where I sit, I count over 12 "full-ish" liquor bottles and I know a lot more is in the deep freezer in the garage.  Beer & pear cider galor.  So do not fret for our safety or well being at this time.

However, if you have seen the news, you may be able to conclude just how far under water the homes of Raider & Wicca,  Reaver & Dana and so on are.  I have a feeling they are gonna need our help after Ike.  Please stand by.  :)

We got gusty wind and moderate rain in Bryan/College Station, but nothing worse than the typical summer storm, here. Talked to a friend in Plantersville; she lost power for a bit earlier this morning, has a couple of trees down, and a small roof leak, but otherwise she's fine.

Hope folks start checking in soon and all's well with 'em.

Talked to Zaubon who has contacted pretty much everyone on the Houston McLotofus crowd.
Everyone seems to have weathered the storm ok with one exception. Guinevere and Marcus lost part of their roof and with that had some flooding inside. No other details at the moment.

*I'll start donating rum if it will help the relief efforts...*

Lord Zenok

Ike has passed and we have power back on here.
Lot of tree limbs  and fences down. Strret light hanging or completely gone in places along 1960 between 290 and 249.

Hope everyone is safe.

Glad to hear that for the most part everyone is doing ok. Keep updating on the info about Mark and Jens place, if you could Teach, since I can't get a hold of anyone from the McLotofUs crowd as of right now.

Keeping everyone in my thoughts.
Still Meggers, just a little more grown up now. :)

I've been on the horn to quite a few folks since 11 this morning my time (gave people time to sleep if they hadn't already lol), Doesn't seem to be too much damage considering. A lot of people without power and some either without water or no water pressure. Heard of one gas pipe being severed, and lots of fences down.. Has anyone heard from Vandor a.k.a PurpleDragon?.. I seem to of lost his number or it never got transferred to my new cell phone and I can not locate it...

Well, since my friend in P-ville lives very near the grounds and had only minor damage, hopefully the grounds fared as well. Not that George couldn't stand to plant a few new trees...

Lord Dragonspyre

Things up here on NW Houston are A-OK. Aiacha and I took a drive to survey the damage (we got some nice pics, too) and when we got back, the power was back on.

TRF still stands. Lots of clean up to do, but with a few exceptions, all the booths came through just fine. We do not, however, have power or water. (Phone lines are working though, so with generator power, I HAVE INTERNET!!!)
