When your group arrives at camp on Friday, please come and find me. Because of the record numbers of this camp, I've had to be a bit of a Nazi about tent placement. We most definitely can find room for you!

As far as food is concerned, we have a camp cook. Donations, while not mandatory, are VERY MUCH SO ACCEPTED!!! I will add you to the list in the other thread.

What is required to be a member? I do not live in TX just yet but am planning on moving to Beaumont soon. I have briefly met only a few of you at faire, and have yet be able to camp (usually I have to leave Saturday night to drive back and be at work). If I cannot be a member I would at least like to get to know more of you better then just a smiple "Hi".

I found the most WONDERFUL RUM... it's called Railean Reserve XO... micro distilled in San Leon, Texas. It beats any rum I have EVER had and that includes Tortuga....

Just n time for pirate weekend.... mmmmmmm..... I WILL be making a rum cake AND RUM BALLS for CELTIC CHRISTMAS WEEKEND!!!

I might could do that Catherine. Providing time and finances allow....We'll see. I will be bringing my loki, I came up with a very nice cream recipe that is delightful on the palet, and my son made a strawberry loki... it is very good as well.

a bottle of Absinthe (Green Faerie) will also be making the journey.

I shall have to agree with Sir Moostifer, there indeed was much ale consumed at the Feast of Onondaga and if memory serves me correct there was in fact kissing involved as the Clan of McLotofus and the Kingdom of Onondaga exchanged memberships for all in attendance on that "night of the full moon" - HUZZAH!

Hi... my wife and I will be coming to TRF for our first time (yes... TRF VIRGINS) for the Highland Weekend and we were planning on camping (well a futon matress in the back of an SUV... no camping gear) fri, sat & sun.

After finding and reading this post I'm wondering where would be the best place for us NEWBIES? We're late 30's, love to meet new people, have fun, have a few drinks... we're not wanting the Ultra Quiet section or the Goth Headbanging section (not that there is anything wrong with either of those... I was in a touring rock band for 20 years) Just looking for good, kind down to earth folk to hang out with and enjoy our "First Time"

We live in Waxahachie and just recently went back to Scarby after about 20 years (I worked there way back in 84-85) and we just fell in love with "Ren" all over again, in fact I've become addicted to making faire garb.

So... any suggestions for us... we don't take up anymore room than 1 small SUV?

Lady Kitara and I will be camping that weekend.  I don't know if the rest of Clan Procrastination will be there or not.  If not, we will probably throw in with whoever is there from McLotofus.  And I know by past post that they are happy to make room for anyone who wants a place to throw up a tent (or park an SUV) and share in some good laughs and good times.  And if no one from McLotofus is there that weekend, then you're more than welcome to throw in with us where ever we end up that weekend.
