How about one that was a mini-series--

The Dark Secrets of Harvest Home

And who can forget Bette Davis in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?

'Oh, Blanche, did ya know we have rats in the cellar?'

Can put you off a covered dish for years.

*edit---by the way, Bette Davis was in Dark Secrets of Harvest Home too.
Very New England...very Salem.
Show me your tan lines..and I'll show you mine!

I just want to be Layla.....

A little trivia on the shower scene in Psycho. From a website:

"Having tested the sound generated by stabbing a number of several fruits, Hitch selected the sound of a stabbed casaba (a Turkish melon) for the sound effects to be used in the movie. The blood seen in the shower was in fact chocolate sauce."

Lady Nicolette

Whatever Happened To Baby Jane was required viewing in my house when I was a kid.   Plus the ever-chilling The Bad Seed.

Ooooo!
Whatever Happened to Baby Jane is another one I haven't seen since I was young.  I never knew what it was about except that there was some crazy lady serving her crippled sister a rat.  Gotta watch it again and see if it makes more sense!

Even though I like Crispin Glover, I liked the original a LOT more than the re-make

Never saw the remake ... but the original (at the drive-in theater, no less) gave me rat creepies for years! Still have to shudder when I think of millions of rats swarming over vaguely human shaped figure.... blech

The only things that have ever really "stuck" with me, and give me the flat out creeps to this day are the crab-walk scene and the head spinning scene in Exocrcist.
My GOD!! I get the chilly-willies EVERY time I watch that movie!!

Rani Zemirah

Oh yes... and "The Car"!!!

How about "Christine",

Bram Stoker's "Dracula",

oooh... "The Tingler" (50's camp" ... Ladies and Gentlemen, do not panic, but Scream... Scream for your lives!!! ) funny now, but not so funny when you're 10!!!

I was too focused on my first date to be very scared, but I was really impressed by the head spinning, I must admit...

And I thought Purple Rain was an odd first date movie!  ::)

AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!

The CAR!!!!!!!

When it ran over that guy in the opening scene I thought it was an accident, then it backed up and ran over him again... and again!!!

Children should NOT be allowed to watch movies like that! What were my parents thinking???
