Maybe. It all depends on what they want me to do... personally I am itching for a new character... german or not... I feel like I have played Birgitte out but I'll do whatever they want.. I'm just happy to be on cast! (all this assuming I am asked back... I have to put that disclaimer out there!)

From a former Ohioan to another.  Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate.  You have NO idea what hot and humid is until you feel Texas in all her glory.  If you carry a purse or pouch, go to the baby section of Wal-mart and buy some Pedialyte packets you can pour into a bottle of water, us them, take it from someone coming from where you are, You'll need them. It doesn't matter how well you tolerate the heat in Ohio, it's not the same here.  Find some show in the early Afternoon to sit and watch and find some shade to cool off in.  

But you will enjoy the faire, that I can guarantee.  Also be prepared to walk.  Don't be disappointed if you don't see the whole thing in 2 days, I didn't.  My first ever Ren Faire was TRF, we're going back the last weekend over Thanksgiving, when I'[ll have 3 days to take it all in and it's cooler and I can wear my cloak and not pass out.

Have fun and enjoy you'll never see anything like it again. Unless of course you return next year.

You are so correct Lady Gryphon, hydrate.  It takes a long time to adjust to the weather here in Texas.  Even different parts of Texas vary on climate, so much so that even those of us that have lived here a long time or for a lifetime have to take caution when traveling to different regions within the state.

The weather during TRF is always interesting, never know what you will get one day to the next or even one hour to the next lol.

I don't know anyone who has actually been to jail as either a result of, or a side effect of, anything that has happened in either Faire OR the campgrounds... so I'm guessing you'd have to try pretty hard to end up there!

After being at TRF for over 30 years, I've seen a few hauled away from inside faire. Seen several one taken out of camp to county.

not to my knowledge, mostly ravers and a few "good ol' boys" who wanted to start fights after imbibing to excess (read: borderline alcohol poisoning)
