Wow!  Looks like you are making it out of beaten gold!   ;D

I have the Cloak finished. I will have to wait until I get more Piping in order to finish the Doublet. But there are some things I can do with the Doublet in the meantime.

The Cloak lining. A Burnt Orange Silk Taffeta.

Decorator Trim I bought Yesterday at Hancock Fabrics.

Cordinating Drapery Tassels.

Wow. Is that another of your Texas commissions?  Just wondering if I'll ever see it in person...

That commission is indeed a TEXAS one, Merlin!  :) You will see that one at Scarby in April or May. I have to get more piping so that I can finish the Doublet.

Beautiful.   Hope to see that creation in person myself.

I still think we need a Lady K fashion show of sorts. How many of her creations will be at Scarby, again?  ;D

If I count you in Capn' Teague, that will make 9 all together.

That's a new personal record for one year.

IF you count me in, Lass?  8)

I am sure Milady Gryphon will twist turn and pose us all in photographers bliss to document said event, as well will others.  ;D

I think Lady Kathleen means that none of the Texas faires are your home faire. But with a second Texas visit in the same year, you might be granted dual residency... ;)

Then what do we get for 3 visits within a 6 month period.

TRF  November 2011, Sherwood, in February,   Scarby  in April.

I think we like Texas Faires.

If I can get them all together I will get a photo of everyone at Merlin's and Nium's  party April 14. Since I'll be wearing one of my own creations, I can be the photographer of record of sorts.
Why do I feel like I've worn something like this before?

Merlin the Elder

2011...different year... sorry, the Wiz cannot count that as "same year." Rules, you know. Wizards are bound to very stringent rules...all you get for 3 visits to Texas in 6 months is usually a sunburn.

Hey everyone! I've been trying to catch up with the last hundred pages I've missed but so far everything is looking great!! Lady Kathleen, that blue florentine has beautiful details and proportions and go you! for taking on that 17th c!

I'm finally back from a 5 month sewing hiatus due to training and moving across the country for a brand spanking new job! Jumped right into making a hat for my brother last night and if I hadn't been up for 20 hours already I would've stayed up and finished it.

Hopefully I'll finish it today!
I'm also back to updating my blog which has a new segment inspired by my new career.

My, it's good to be back!! Happy to see everyone doing well and sewing away!
