Oh god, I feel like crap!!! This fever gets worse every week...

Just found out yesterday that my insurance has been cut off, so I may be done with treatment already... not that I would mind, but that might not be the best thing...

The insurance thing may be a formality. Don't cut your treatment short because of that. I'm sure your doctor will work with you in terms of the financila side. Aside from meds, we tried the good old cold compress method to attack the fever. Believe it or not, it helped. Just hang in there

Thank you, Lady G. My insurance has definitely been canceled, and I'm having to apply for Medicare now, but I have a meds shipment due on Tuesday, and it's going to be canceled also...

I wish I could use the cold compresses, but when the fever hits I start freezing, and anything cold that touches me makes me ache so badly I cry. Mostly the only thing that helps is ibuprofen, and I take so much of it that it's probably damaging my kidneys.

I'm just having a rough time of it right now... and being whiny. I'll be ok, I know, and even if I have to stop now, I'm still negative and will stay that way, so that's positive, right?!?  LOL

Ask your doctor if the drug company can fast track you to a free treatment or two while waiting for Medicare to come through.   You might also want to have them check your creatinine (sp?) levels for kidney damage.

I'm sorry to hear the insurance company did this w/you so close to being through w/treatment.  They are truly excrement.
