Hey Rani -

I am so glad that you got the medication and will be able to finish the protocol.

I know how hard this has been on you, but the end is in sight. Just keep telling yourself that there are many people in the world in worse shape than you are. That is how I got through seven weeks in hospitals and three and a half years in a wheelchair.

Just try to realize that you are going to live a long and happy life, and we are all grateful for that.

Oh Peddlin, I know, and it gets me through it all, as do all of you...

I'm starting to get really excited...!

You are an inspiration to me, dear, and everyone else who has posted their own stories to help inspire me to endure what I was afraid couldn't be endured!!! Thank you all so very, very much...   :)

Tomorrow's your next to last treatment, right?  Wow, such a long road & you are almost to the end - pat yourself on the back & promise yourself something nice when you get to feeling better week after next.  I'm sending back pats, too! *pat, pat, pat*

Do you live in the Houston area?  I'm thinking we could get together on Saturday 3/28 (first treatment free weekend, I think) & lift a few at the new Irish pub in Katy - what say you?

Oh, I soooo wish!!! I'm up here in OKC, loooong ways from you... but I'll be there for All Hallows this year, and by then my liver will be all shiny and new, and up to processing a bit o' th' grape (or whatever fruit is on tap at the time... LOL)!!!

I still have three left, including tomorrow, so 3/27 will be my actual last treatment, then the next weekend is our Faire, so I'll be going from doing no more than I'm forced to, to actually directing a brand new Gypsy camp! I wish I'd known I was going to be having chemo when I agreed to this...  LOL

I will be there... I'm determined not to miss it this year!!!

Thanks, hon, I'll be thinkin' bout'choo, too!

Oh hey... I still have some hair!!!  LOL  It's pretty thin, but there's still more of it than scalp...   :o  Maybe I'll get to keep some, and not have to start out the season totally hairless...

If your hair is still skimpy, you can fill a snood w/weave hair, pin it to your hair - slicked back - & pop a hot on top.  It does grow back - I had about 8" chopped off last week & it's still bra hook length.

Wow! That's quite a bit! They cut almost 2 ft off mine last month when I got my pixie cut...

Luckily my character is a wandering Gypsy fortuneteller, and headscarf is the head wear of the period for her! LOL

Our Faire is Medieval, and the time line is from 400's-1450's, so I have a very large pool of garb styles to choose from, as long as they're put together in a way that makes my Gypsy believable. It helps that I do read Tarot and runes, have a bit of herbology, know lots of traditional Gypsy stories, poems and songs, have a small book of traditional Gypsy charms and spells that I often assemble beforehand and carry for when I see someone in need of my services during Faire, and have a repertoire of period crafts to demo, also.

I'm not too worried about my hair, although I wouldn't mind having a little something to work with for Scarby... I've been considering possibly garbing a pixie for it, though, since I've already got the cut!!!  LOL

I LUV the idea of a pixie-styled fae - who knows - you may decide that pixie is the perfect cut for you.  And babushkas are timeless.

I think it might actually be the perfect cut for me... I love the way it frames my face, and it brings out my Cheyenne cheekbones like never before!  LOL   I do believe I've found the look to take me into the next decade...

And yes, it's always easier to tie something around your head than trying to do anything with your hair! I'm also pretty excited that I'm not going to have so much heavy hair to catch the heat at Faire this year!!! I always just swelter under all of it, when I could have been enjoying the breeze all this time...

I have some great ideas for a fire pixie... maybe All Hallows would be the perfect time to debut her!?!

W/some of that bright Torrid hair colour?!  OMG, I'm getting all vapourish just thinking about it (says the woman who is considering bright pink) - sweet!

I'm thinking just the very tips in the flame red and orange, with bits of deep blue at the very base!!!

Pink!?! Like that hot fuschia, or more like neon cotton candy? YUM!!!

Your color is scheme is lucious.  For me, hot pink, baby!  Don't know if I'll do it, but I can't walk by there w/o shaking in my shoes for the sheer need of pink hair.

I think I'll have to have a new name for you, then...  ;D

You should henceforth be known as Hot Pink the Pirate !!! Don't worry, though... I won't make anyone else call you that! It will be my special "chemo pal" name for you...  (gigglesnerk)

I'll call you HP for short...   ;)

Make that Hawt Pink & you've got a deal - I feel a new persona or group coming on.  I'm a closet pink freak & wore it alot during chemo - made me feel better.
