So cute!!!  I love the colors

Thanks to both of you! The good thing about making costumes for a small dog is using up your remnants  ;D

The Fanrasy Fashions Paned Slops pattern is one of the Better patterns for Paned Slops. I prefer that one over Margo's.

This is the only picture I have of it so far, but this is my finished kirtle.  Going to work on sleeves for it next.

Oh, YAY!!! It looks fabulous! I can't wait to see it in person.

What did you use for the guards?

insidiousraven

Black Bias trim.  Not really ideal fabric content wise, but it sure was easier than cutting it myself!  The guards go down the back of the bodice too, but I don't have a picture of that.  I basically just copied silverstah's green kirtle (because it is my favorite on the net).  The sleeves will be kind of a golden brown color.

Okay, I'm going to do some big-time bragging, but I couldn't have come this far without all your support and tips and tricks: I was given the Village Seamstresses favor at MiRF opening weekend! Squeeeee! She complimented me on my middle-class outfit and praised my skills on my, my husband, and Boo's outfits. She inisisted I join the costume contest (one for people, one for pets--it was pet weekend) and Boo won a prize...and *I* won Seamstress Choice! It was such a *huge* ego boost and such an honor. So here is my MA bodice, partlet (it doesn't fit like I want it to and will be reworking it), skirt made using Kathleen of Olmstead's easy skirt directions, apron, and all the underpinning's you *can't* see--chemise, corset, and bloomers. Oh, and the caul :) Ignore the vertical wrinkles--this is the one that got washed and stretched, I'll tighten it up by next season.

Thank you again to all of you who sat through post after post of questions and frustrations--I adore you all! You like me, you really like me!! *stepping off the stage*
(You can see M'Lady's favor on my front tab and on Boo's side front--it's a little spool of thread :D )

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wicked, that's FANTASTIC!!! You look amazing, and how awesome that you were recognized. (And Gracie Pigeon sends a paw bump to Boo; she won the costume contest at KCRF two years ago.)

Wickedvox

*big grin* thanks Gem! It looked much better after I hiked the apron up to see more of the skirt, I'll get that pic this weekend. Boo says "Woof back atcha Gracie!"

Indeed she does!

Awesome Job, Wickedvox! The fit on the bodice is great - and for Middles, tailoring is KEY to good looking garb.  ;D
