GORGEOUS!!! Remember when I said you should always, always wear red? Ok, red OR butter yellow! You look spectacular.

(And you've convinced me that I was right to keep hoarding my butter yellow damask for the Italian gown I bought it for, and not cannibalize it for other projects. :D)

Yes, no cannibalized the damask.  It doesn't taste like chicken.  ;-)

Thanks, Gem!   I have to be careful with yellow or else I look like a zombie.  Brains...nom.....

Lady Kathleen of Olmsted

Well done, Isabella. THe colors work well together.

Here's a Henry Tudor Cap I did by hand for a friend of mine in the Twin Cities who makes a  FABULOUS King Henry VIII. He wanetd a Blood Red Velveteen and pearls. I used Filigree pieces I ordered from FireMountain Gems a while back, supergluing 8mm pearls in the center. Then 6mm strands in between.

The Brim is 4 layers of Cotton Canvas rather than Buckram. The Crown is a large circle, lined, gathered, then sewn onto the Brim. A Mariboo Boa finishes the Cap.

I'm all hunched over in the photo because I was trying to see where my foot was on the peddles.  :-)  The pink dress is out of wool and entirely hand sewn.  I also hand tacked on the trim.  It's done in the 1560's Venetian peasant style.

I finally have something to add!  Small things: sleeves and apron.  Black partlet is up next.

Raven that looks awesome!  :)

Second that!! there is something about the accessories that just *completes* an ensemble. And I am crazy for those yellow sleeves!!

Orphena

Well, it's not "complete" since I plan to rip the sleeves off and redo them, but here is the gown!
