Well, it's not "complete" since I plan to rip the sleeves off and redo them, but here is the gown!

the whole look is great...and the gown is fabulous.

Seriously loving that gown Orphena!  What pattern did you use again?  I want a front closing bodice like that.
BTW, the placket gives it just a little extra zing  ;D.

HUZZAH!!! Don't you just radiate regal magnificence!!! It all came together just perfectly, and I'm sure you made a *splendid* Queen Bess! We'd love to see MORE PHOTOS, if you have them!!

I can *finally* share photos of a looooong-term, totally TOP SECRET WIP!
A couple of weeks ago, I put the final stitches in a project for a forum friend and sent it off to her. Here, at long last, is a little something I made for our very own amazing Centuries Sewing:

It's a blackwork pocket, stitched with silk on linen, and backed/bound with velveteen left over from my first gown project ever. If you click on this photo and zoom in, you can see a closeup of the stitching, and you can see more details about the project in my dress diary. :)

I didn't have Centuries Sewing handy to try it on her, so Headless Bianca volunteered in a pinch:

I had a blast stitching this, and was just a little sad to see it go, but I know it's very happy with its new owner!  :D

It's beautiful, Gem!! I'm sure she'll love it!
Nothing clever to say here.  Not enough caffine yet.

Beautiful GEM! I like the slight variances in the flowers.

Well. boogers.  I'm not good enough to draft a pattern yet, and too paranoid to try.  :-\
I absolutely love that bodice!  You can switch the look up with different plackets, and it's front closing.   ;D
