Thanks everyone.  After 17 years, it was due for some touching up, haha.

I thought you had some color on that Sabrina?  Or does it just not show up in the pic?

The star has blue in the center.  In that pic, it was really new and the ink was fairly dark, plus maybe the lighting made the color look darker.  I need to get a more recent pic of it.

Well thank goodness you actually see what it is!  So many people are like, "What on earth is that?"  I've had guesses ranging from a "messed up kangaroo" to a whale to a musical staff.  Go figure!

Interesting visual effect look at it one way and you see a greyhound the other way a cat.

So....
I've gotten it in my head to cover the demon head on my right shoulder with a half, or possibly 3/4, sleeve dedicated to my son.  It'll contain the obvious like his name and birthdate, and I'm going to have them add his hand flashing the "Metal Horns" sign.  (I already have a pic of this on my cellphone) Also, I have a "My heart/Your armor" idea but am not real sure how to flesh it out.  Luckily, tattoo artists are pretty imaginative! (I hope!) I'm also toying with the idea of a heart, eternity symbol, a rainbow, the male/female symbols, dollar signs and something to signify poverty. (??) Basically, "I'll always love you. Gay, straight, rich, poor" (the gay/straight part comes from the parents of one of my son's friends who have, more than once, threatened to "beat the 'gay' outta their son" should he become so! Parents of the Year nominees, no?)
Anywho...that's the idea in a nutshell.  Any feedback is much appreciated, as I'm not the most imaginative guy, so thanks in advance!

So far, I have:
left shoulder blade area... a butterfly and a baby dragon hatching from it's egg (in memory of my daughter)
Right shoulder blade area...symbol for strength (memory of my dad) and triple moon with pentacle
Stomach area...dragon based off a Boris Valejo print.

Hopefully I will have a new one (or 2) when I return from vacation in a couple weeks.

grabbed the nearest thing for cover which turned out to be a flannel bathrobe with teddy bears on it  )

Just made the appointment yesterday and August 27th I go under the needle to start my back piece!!!
My first appt is for 5 hours so this oughta be exciting!!!!
