Hey, S'Punkers... bad juju in my magic box today! Fatal hard drive errors, death and destruction, panic and mayhem... so library is it for me for the moment.  Means no pix of goodies, but also very limited communication times, as well.     Trying to figure it out, but doesn't look good. 

Lovin' all the creativity in here, though, and definitely want to encourage it, so keep that Steam built up, and I'll peek in as I'm able!  Lovin' all this flurry and flash!!!

I'm going to be hopefully attending that Saturday during TRF, but unfortunately not in steampunk gear, but as a selkie. But at least I'll get to see some fantastic steampunk costumes.

But hey, the Victorians had a love for the supernatural, so maybe that counts for something. Hope to see you all there!

Damn, that would suck.  Hope it's not so.  That also reminds me again that I need to get an external hdd for backing up.  Lost my stuff too many times.  Don't know why the backup isn't forefront in my mind on a daily basis...

BOY I know that feeling all to well.

My main HD failed a few months back. I thought OH Lucky me having a back-up. But I wasn't so luck as when I got the new drive up and running I found my back-up drive was totally corrupted. I lost many years of photo. Lucky I had my main portfolio on a CD but that didn't prevent me from lossing  many years of valuable material. Just goes to show even a back-up cannot be trusted and it's best to have a back-up of your back-up

Stephanie, I totally forgot to add earlier...  Firefly was my fav while it was on, and I've seen Serenity at least 7-8 times, and I watch it every time it comes on SciFi!  LOL  Capt. Mal is dreamy, in that rough-hewn-farmboy-turned-space-pirate-naughty-boy type way...  and Jayne is just hysterical!!!  He is, without doubt, my all time favorite Merc, EVAR!!!

Yes! I have such a crush on Mal!

Thanks everyone.. actually getting another tower from my newly discovered fairy godparents!  Not new, but twice the system I had before.  Not sure if anything is salvagable on the other, but I'll find out in a week or so.  My new (to me) tower is shipping today, and I'll get it sometime this week, so I'll be back online in a few days...

I'm glad you'll be getting a new tower and hope the transition is reasonably painless & that your old files can be transferred.  Bad computer!  Bad computer!

YAY! Looking forward to having you back with us, Rani!!

So, I realized today that should I want to wear all black, I have a skirt, which I would hike up in the front to show part of the black slip underneath, and at least one shirt that would work, should I need to pull everything together quickly once I get my underbust bodice.

Needless to say though, I'm looking at having a few things made so that I have a couple of options for when Abney Park comes to Dallas and then the steampunk event a week after that in Dallas at a different club.

A pair of goggles will be on their way to me, which I'm suuuuuuper excited and very very very thankful for! 
Just trying to decide whether I'm going to get a hat or get some dreads that match my hair and wear those for a very...piratey kind of look.

And very excited to see them live...though, I wonder what the stage will be like cause the stage at the venue in Dallas isn't very big...
