Looking good Kate!!!

Which reminds me. I have to work my butt off , litterally, this coming week. I need to make a short hemmed Pirate Chemise and a pair of Pirate print bloomers for the opening af PoTC 4. Elizabeth and I are going to the midnight showing in garb!

Mock Kirtle progress so far:  we have a bodice that need it's side seams sewn rather than pinned, but the sleeves are done!  Just pinned in place at present...  I'm thinking of hooks and worked loops and alternating hooks and eyes up the front.

Lady K, you MUST post pics of the bloomers and chemise when done!

Doncha worry, Kate.

I love your color picks for the Bodice and Sleeves. The trim works perfectly!

Ohhh you ladies are not helping me maintain my willpower against joining some sort of living history project or something... One of the girls from my cooking club showed up in her civil war gear to an event, So tempting, but so not something I can afford or have time for right now!

Still needs hooks and eye and loops, and bits of the lining need to be sewn down, but otherwise...

The gown is lovely, Kate! The colors and trims are a standout.

My going to the  Midnight showing of the PoTC4 has been cancelled. :( :( But I still plan to make a new Chemise and the Pirate Print Bloomers anyway.

Aw...  Shame!  The GMNT wants to go next weekend.  Thinking of splashing out and getting the Gallery seating, where you get a drink (soft drink, coffee, beer or wine), plates of nibbles, box of chocs, and Big Comfy Seats rather than ordinary cinema seats.  I don't think I'll be dressing up...

LadyShadow

Very lovely job Kate. I love how the trim stands out and complements the color you have. Great job.
May the stars always shine upon you and yours.

Thank you.  It now has some of it's hooks...

Here's our latest offering: a joint effort for a customer, this one.

Bling Fairies on active duty!   ;D

AS for the Bathory gown project, I have 4- 45" panels sewn, serged, trims on the front opening panels, overlap and hem pinned, and the waistband done.. Silly me sewed the trims on the Blood Red Velveteen the wrong way on one of the front panels! UGH!!  >:(  So I had to carefully rip it all out, pull out the threads, and sew it all back with the nap going downwards.

The pleating guide using Cotton Canvas Duck and 1" Gingham is ready to be pinned on and sewn. I will do that tomorrow, Sunday, after I finish some alterations for a client and alter 7 pairs of pants tht will be picked up on Monday. Busy sewing day on Sunday.

Almost done with my son's 3 shirts.  Two in unbleached muslin with plain collar and cuffs; and the third with blackworked sleeves and soft ruffs at the collar and cuffs.

I have trouble posting pictures from the Yahoo site.  Can we post pictures from Facebook?

I finally got to sew!

I have 4 shirts made for my kiddo 3 muslin and one hunter green flannel.

Now on to the 5 pairs of pants!

He out grew everying thing but his tunics, and all of the fabric that I am using is a stash buster too! Well except the flannel that I picked up at a thrift store.
I am hoping to get a waist cincher and a long chemise done for mom along with some flannel bloomers and chemises done for the both of us. We froze our collective butts off last opening weekend so I am taking steps that we dont ever again!

Lady Rebecca

I took these pictures on Friday evening. Since then, I have turned my mockup sleeves into actual (though unhemmed) sleeves. So right now, it's just waiting on a hem on the sleeves and on the bottom of the gown, as well as a ruffle on the petticoat. Unless of course I think of something else to add, too. :)
