Wow!  Without a pattern!!!  That is fantastic!

operafantomet

Once again I applaud you all. Wow!

brooke

Impressed by all 4 of the new things here (at least new since I last looked).  2 beautiful corsets - mine never seem to fit that well!

I am eyeing the collar on the pirate coat.  This is the project I am working on now and hate the neckline.  Maybe this is something I can add..... hmmmmm?

I can't believe you made the bustle with no pattern!  I am always amazed at the talen everyone has to go off on their own :)

Will Gamwell

This is one of several Robin Hood (Nottingham) style hats that I made for this year.  The one in the pictures was for Robin himself.  I made a red with black trim and a black with red trim for myself.

Yes, I am quite tired.  2AM I believe.

Well the hat looks really good even if the model looks a little grumpy.  ;)
Aurum peccamenes multifariam texit
Marquesa de Trives

I like the hat too.  I don't think the model looks grumpy, maybe serious.  He's cute enough to get away with being grumpy ... but that is off topic.  Nice hat!!!

LOL!  Thank you both.  No where near grumpy, I am a Merry Man after all.  Just drop dead tired.  You know how it is getting ready for fest.  Rehearsals, costuming, building a new bridge at the stage, setting up camp, more costuming . . . etc.

Will all that effort has been worth it.  You and the Merry Men have been fun to play with at fest    ;D
Wait til you see what Penny Lane, Prudence, and I have in store for Robin  :D

Here is my latest finished project:

Everything goes better with giggles

Found a pic of the back of the gown to show the cartridge pleating.

LadyFae

For the most part, Giggles' new stripe gown was a fun project. Parts of it definitely were not but the end results are FAB in person!!! :D
Amanda  =D

Betty Munro

Oooooh, I LOVE the swish the cartridge pleating gives the skirt.  I need to put that on my to do list!

I can't believe I forgot to post these! (It's been a hectic few weeks since we got back!)  Here are some pix of Milord and me in our costumes at San Diego Comic-Con this summer:

Those are authentic prosthetic heads from the TV show "Alien Nation" (the ones I posted about ages ago in Garbing), and our "garb" is from the TV show "Chuck" (Milord is wearing the standard Buy More uniform; I'm dressed in the Nerd Herd ensemble.)

It was TOTALLY FUN wearing them, but the alien heads got so much attention that most people didn't even notice the "Chuck" costumes!  People would stop me and say, "What show is that from?" and I'd answer, "Chuck!" Loved to see the perplexed looks on their faces. LOL

We're trying to decide what else the Newcomers can wear to con next summer.  ;D

isabelladangelo

*giggles*  You can always confuse people completely and have you dress up in a Federation Uniform while your husband dresses up in a Jedi outfit....   With the Alien Nation heads, of course....

LadyStitch

I showed the picture to the PP and he immediately got it, and loved it.  Was the make up store bought or did someone make it?
.We think it is really cool :)
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.
