When you click the fire icon a lot of them say if they are verified or not.  I have seen a lot of 'not verified'.  I have been focusing on the Grimes County Sheriff FB page

Yep, a lot of people reporting fires because of the heavy smoke.  It was requested that you not call in a fire unless you see flames.

This is getting closer to us and looks like it could threaten The Yellow Retriever.  TYR is a local bar that we visit and some of the TRf cast like to go to for karaoke during rehearsal season.

TRF is posting all is fine right this moment on their FB page.  While the fires are near, they say the grounds are safe.  I'm using that as the best source of info at the moment.

Meanwhile, so many prayers going in so many directions... flooding, fire, sadness all around.
