Thanks, Gem!  Good to know.  It might fit Mom then.  ;D

I know it looks like I took this during the middle of an earthquake but I wanted to show some progress on my Tudor gown.   So far, the second pair of stays fit (yay!) and I've pretty much finished the forepart (I need to add a hook and eye in the back.  It's pinned right now).   I need to finish sewing up the rest of the dress but it is all cut out now and it shouldn't take too long to put the rest of it together.  Yay!

Lady Leo

I have finally finished the forepart for my gown.

Very pretty Lady Leo. I'm looking forward to seeing it to the finish.

And I spy the white tree of Gondor!   ;D

Lol, Lady Leo!   I'm using a similar fabric for the forepart to my gown!

I still need to finish it up but it's looking like a dress at least.

That's my son's tabard. The head hole needs to be finished. Use my embroidery machine to make the design 3-4 years ago but my husband was making that because he thought it would be easy except the hole was to big for my son at the time. He's almost 8 now so it fits him now.

Your gown looks beautiful. Can't wait to see it when it's finished.

DonaCatalina

Lovely work Lady Leo. I'd love to see the whole dress.

And stunning as always Isabella.

Oh, NICE!

Thanks for the "glimpse", Kate.  They're looking WONDERFUL.  I especially like the red & black one; very dramatic.  When is the whole ensemble needed?  It must be getting close.

Due about this time next month:

1 silver gown
1ne black gown
1 green gown
1 blue gown
1 dark pink gown
2 suits: slashed doublet & Venetians with piping (one black & silver, one green and black)
1 gold and brown doublet & venetians
1 burgundy & black doublet & venetians
1 red & black doublet & venetians
1 quartered red and blue doublet & venetians with hat and bells!
1 brown Cavalier hat
1 Layton Jacket and linen petticoat
1 more embroidered linen jacket
At least one set of collars and cuffs for each customer!  Also some shirts and chemises...

But fret not!  We have completed quite a lot of the small stuff, and two of the suits are almost complete, as are three of the gowns.  And our two RTW gowns we sold on Etsy are altered and ready to roll!

I know this is a silly question but is that in progress cartrige pleats? I've never done them.

Kate XXXXXX

Miniature cartridge pleating round the head and down the back of the sleeve, yes.   :)

Lovely works in progress, ladies. Can't wait to see everyone's finished products.

Current work in progress, my daughter's sleeves for her new chemise. It takes approximately 40 minutes per panel. So far I have 8 panels done and many more to go.

:o WOWZA!!!  I love hand embroidered things.  Your daughter is going to look AMAZING once that's done.
