The site of Llangibby Castle, alternatively sometimes known as Tregrug Castle, is located almost a mile outside the village of Llangybi in Wales.

The estate, including an existing motte and bailey castle, came into the ownership of the de Clare family in 1245.

Lumley Castle is a century quadrangular castle in the North of England, near to the city of Durham and a property of the Earl of Scarbrough.

The castle is named for its original creator, Sir Ralph Lumley, who converted his family manor house into a castle in 1389. The castle is believed to one of the most haunted places in County Durham. Legend has it that the castle is haunted by the ghost of Lily Lumley, Ralph's wife, who was thrown down a well in the castle grounds by two priests.

Narberth castle is a ruined Norman fortress in the town of Narberth, West Wales.

It was first mentioned in 1116 and forms part of the Landsker Line. However the castle is mentioned in the Mabinogion ('Castell Arberth') as the place where Rhiannon was imprisoned. This site has the best defensive position among several nearby earthworks, and seems the most likely.

Libohove Castle is a castle in Libohove, southern Albania.

Although the city may date back to the 7th century B.C, the first fortifications on the current site date back to the middle ages. Part of the current structure was rebuilt in the early fifteenth century and then again in the 18th century for wars with the Turks.

Aghjkaghala Castle, also called Akhchka berd Fortress, is located in Armenia.

The castle dates from the 10th century and had ties to a nearby monastary. Not much is really known of the castle's history.

Aichelberg Castle is a castle in Carinthia, Austria.

The castle is documented in the ownership of the Eychelburg family from 1224. But the actual build date is unknown.















Aichelberg Castle is also a castle in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

Aichelberg Castle and Turmberg Castle share a mountain ridge. Turmberg was built about 1150 and Aichelberg about 1200 by the Lords of Aichelberg. In 1525, the castle was in the peasant war looted and destroyed. After 1525 the ruins were used as a quarry.

Chirag Gala, also spelled Çiraq Qala or Çirax Qala, is a ruined ancient fortress overlooking the Caspian coastal plains north of Baku in Azerbaijan.

It was constructed by the Sassanid Persians in the 5th century, it was used as a defense for the khanate of Quba until the 18th century.

Rameyen Castle is a castle on a lake in Gestel, part of the municipality of Berlaar, Belgium.

The original construction of the castle was in 1380. Various embellishments were added over time.

Kljuc Castle is located on the mountain ridge above the modern village of Kljuc, Bosnia.

The castle of San Paio Narla, also known as Xia Tower is in the parish of Xia, in the province of Lugo, Spain.

Most of the castle was built in the XII and XIII centuries as the home of the family of Vasco de Seixas. But evidence of occupation goes back to an iron age settlement.

Buda Castle is the historical castle and palace complex of the Hungarian kings in Budapest, Hungary.

The first royal residence on the Castle Hill was built by King Béla IV of Hungary between 1247 and 1265. The oldest part of the present-day palace was built in the 14th century by Stephen, Duke of Slavonia, the younger brother of King Louis I of Hungary. Only a tiny portion of the older castles remain on the southern tip of the promontory.

Dubovac Castle overlooks the city of Karlovac, Croatia.

Square tower was probably built during the 13th century. In 15th century the castle is rebuilt in renaissance manner.

Zvornik Castle, or Kula Grad Zvornika, is located in the upper town of Zvornik, Bosnia.

Chlum Castle is at the edge of the village of Chlum, Central Bohemia, Czech Republic.

Not much is known about this medieval castle. There is not much left, but the basic construction is consistent with castles built by the Livonian Order.

Parnu Castle is in the town of Parnu, Denmark.

The town of Parnu was rebuilt by the Livonian order in 1265 after it had been destroyed at the same time they built their Order Castle. Only a tower and some wall sefments have been preserved.
