Hurricane updates - chime in.

I just think I'm gonna stay online till the power goes.  The Tropical Storm is getting stronger and the gusts of wind are getting harder now that she's turning more to the southwest.  Although the center of the storm has past us, we're now in the radius of the heavier winds.

Sad to say we still have no running water (off since 8 p.m. last night)  so I'm now sticking my head outside and catching buckets of the rain to use inside the house.  They are calling for 4 to 8 inches of rain and in some cases up to 12 inches.  We really needed it...just not all in one night!

I'm in a baby storm compared to Gustav.  Glad he passed us by with only one day of gale winds/rain!!!  To all my friends in the south... be safe.  I know the storms bring tornados as well as high winds, rain, and flooding when they come inland and you're targets of two different storms one right behind the other.

My two kitties and 3 legged dog are keeping me company inside.  The house owner's dog is at my front door.  She won't come in unless it gets real bad.  She has stationed herself close to shelter... just in case.

Capt Sin just called me. No real damage worse than some limbs and such for anyone in the BS crew. They are without power for now but are just staying in the RV with the generator and just fine.
In his words, they have coffee and Harry potter on TV and are just hanging out.
