Salutti Ragazzi!

It seems that since everyone is doing it, I guess I will post my latest as well.

Though I must admit a bit of inspiration, though not completely identical, from her Majesties favorite, Lord Dudley.

That they are.  Since I usually play the Italian Ambasciatore, I wear Venetians (style of pantalone).  Though eventually I may consider adding full panes to the out side of the pantalones.

I just finished the rest of the Christmas presents and took pictures (Finally!!). I decided to add a removable skirt to my stepsisters since the fabric was too thick to sew the tabs in like normal (3 layers of duck and 3 layers of upholstery at the seam). I made some bias tape out of the duck and attached heavy duty snaps, plus I figure being laced in should keep anything from coming apart. For my stepsister in law I did a blue jacquard with a periwinkle and gold trim and freshwater pearls, if any of you read the Murphy's law thread this is the Oops corset. I did the shoulder rolls a bit differently this time, sewing them around the piping instead of under, and sewing the trim into the seams of rolls so I didn't have to hide the loose ends. The last picture isn't ren related, it shows the pillows and bar stool cushions we made my Grandma. Everything here was completed in a week and a half, sorry for all the pics, there was a lot. Not too bad for such a short period of time huh <grin>.

I made a bodice (the first one I've ever made, and the first item I've ever lined) and a skirt for my younger sister for Christmas. Here 'tis (my sister wearing them):

Back:

The bodice seems a little short, but I'm not sure how long they're supposed to be. The bodice fabric used to be tan, but I washed it with the skirt fabric.

Everyone else's projects look great!

It looks great!  Well done!

The length looks fine to me--just have Sis put on a proper chemise and tuck it in.  The waistline of the bodice (the non-pointy-bit) should hit at her natural waist.  If it covers the waistband of the skirt (and she should be wearing *that* at her natural waist, too, not where she's probably accustomed to wearing her jeans), it'll be perfect!

Your sis seems to be fairly long-waisted (lucky child), so if there is a gap between skirt and bodice, you can fix that by adding a skirting treatment (tabs/peplum) to the bottom of the bodice. :)  If you go back a few posts, you'll see Lorraine's post where she added a removable tabbed skirting to her SIL's bodice.
