Oh Fairyfly, I'm so glad everything is looking up, and that the Jeep was just complaining... my own car seems to have given up the ghost, and I haven't driven anywhere in at least two months. It really sucks, so I know how that made you feel!!!

I'm really excited for you that your guy is on his way!!! That must make your heart jump! May you three have the most wonderful Holiday Season ever... until the next one!!!

Oh FairyFly that is such wonderful news.I'm so happy for the both of you that things are going so much for you all.And just like Rani I to was relieved for you that the Jeep was just not starting cause of the cold.Let that be a lesson to you the next you all come down with extremely cold weather to start up your Jeep before the extreme hits. (Just Thought I'd try to make you laugh a little) but anyway I am also glad that your guy will be home with you and the little one for Christmas as well.That is such an awesome gift to receive right before the actual holiday itself.As always I wish you and your little one a very merry christmas and a safe,happy,and healthy new year.God Bless you all this holiday season.

The kittens came home with us!!! I'll post pictures tomorrow! They are such adorable little loves! And my Daughter has not stopped laughing and smiling since they got here!

She named her kitten, Cassiopeia. And my kitten's name is, Freyja. Freyja, is the more outgoing one. She's been exploring all over the house and is a HUGE one for playing! Cassi, is more shy. Mostly hiding until a little while ago when they realized it was Phoeny's bed time... which became their play time! Lol Now I have no idea what time I'll get her in bed! And Santa still has to finish the tree, decorations, and wrap the presents!!! Geesssss this is going to be a long night. But one that's well worth it!

Fairyfly I would just like to wish you and Phoeny a Happy Holiday Season as well.I'm so glad that you and the little one are having such fun with those two new kittens of y'alls.I'm sure this Christmas is going to be just great for the two of you which is what I have been hoping for for the two of you all along.I hope you and the little one get everything you have ever asked for this Christmas and I also hope that yall left Santa some milk and cookies out last night cause you know even the man in the red suit needs his protein to.

We had a little bit of a rough night last night. She's been playing with the kittens almost nonstop since they came home, but yesterday and last night she chilled on the couch watching movies more. So, the lower dose of insulin I had to switch to, to counter act all the running she was doing, didn't work too well. Her reading was higher before dinner then it has been in a while. I gave her the insulin at the beginning of the meal so she'd be able to take her bath before bed. Apparently the insulin missed the food because she ate slowly again. But instead of dropping her low, she went even higher. Before bed she was above 400. I gave her more insulin, then waited the half hour to test her again. She went up instead of down to 459! So... more insulin. Half an hour later we tested again and she was below 300. Thank the gods!

Geees I tell ya, keeping up with what she's eating, how much, AND how active she's being with the kittens is about enough to drive me bonkers. Lol Add on top of it she wasn't really wanting to go back to school today.  This morning she was MUCH better and did really well getting herself together for school. No calls from the school nurse yet so she's apparently doing good today. YEY!!! Good thing, I needed the breather! Lol

You're doing a great job keeping track of everything, honey, and it really does just get easier the more practice you have... so stay positive about everything, ok? You do have to remember to take time out for yourself also, though, even if that means you have to wait until she's in school! Just don't wear yourself out taking care of everything, or else you'll make yourself sick, and then what will you do? Just make sure you're getting the rest you need, and keeping yourself fed and healthy, so you can do the same for Phoeny!

Here's a few hugs for you guys... use liberally!

Thanks hun! I spoke too soon about the school nurse. Lol She called about half an hour after I posted. She was curious about what Tiger's reading was before she went out to play. Tiger didn't like the idea of being tested just to be tested. And the nurse some how messed up the meter... I had to try to walk her through getting it set back up right so it'd work for lunch. Kind of hard to do when the woman keeps talking over me.... But I finally got her through it. Then the lunch testing went decent.

I'm going to refrain from saying anything more so I don't jinx myself. There are still a few more hours to go before she's home again.... Lol

See... you can do it! It will take time and patience to get your system all set up and working smoothly, but you'll get it, and it will work, you'll see! And at least you knew how to set it up the right way, and you finally got the woman to listen!

Everything will be ok, eventually... just remember that!

I will second everything Rani has said.At least your were able to get the school nurse back on track with the machine so she could get Tiger tested properly.Hang in there an keep your chin up hunny,everything will be alright.

Things are going as good as I could hope for at the moment. The school nurse and I had another interesting day on the phone yesterday. Although I almost feel sorry for her. With me being sick, my patience level was about null and void. At the end of the day she called me again {3rd time for the day} and wanted to "talk". It's funny how she's the one who keeps interrupting me, and having an attitude with me, and yet she felt the need to ask me if I thought we could work together on this.

Ok, my daughter, she's not the one taking care of her day in and day out. Only for a few hours during school, and that's supposed to be mainly at lunch time. But she keep pulling my daughter out of class and trying to test her, just because she's curious about what her reading might be... One, my daughter doesn't deal with that well and she's there to learn, not fight with the nurse every couple of hours. Two, she should be using the supplies I gave her at lunch and if Tiger doesn't feel well, Not using them any ole time she's simply curious. Unless she'd like to start paying for the extra supplies she's using! The less disruptions Tiger has during her day, the better she does. I just can't seem to get this through the nurses head.

Yesterday, I wanted to throttle her. But, it's present day, not the good ole days. So, no throttling... at least not physically. 

She also sent home another form for me to fill out on Monday. It was the second form I've filled out giving her permission to contact our Dr. Basically, this nurse doesn't want to talk to me, she wants to bug the living daylights out of our Dr. The attitude she gives me is that I'm not good enough to talk to, and being 'just a parent' I really don't know what I'm talking about.

And she wonders why I get fed up with her and lose patience with her.... Ugh
